Kristyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IADC). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Iowa.
Kristyn enjoys working with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and ADHD. She also works with clients experiencing life transitions, grief, and relationship concerns and is a sex positive, kink-friendly, and polyamory-friendly therapist. Kristyn has received specialized training in the treatment of substance abuse and other addictions. She utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness.
In her free time, Kristyn enjoys playing video games and RPGs, exercising, and traveling to national parks.
