Meadowlark Psychiatric Services is locally owned and was founded in 2005 to help meet the need for professional mental health services in Eastern Iowa. Today, Meadowlark has grown to serve thousands of patients through both in-person and virtual sessions. Our clinicians operate out of two clinics, located in North Liberty and Iowa City, and can provide services to anyone in Iowa through telehealth appointments.

The health, safety, and privacy of our patients have always been our primary focus — and we’re here to help! Understanding Our Clinician Teams

MEDICAL

Our Medical Team is led by nationally recognized, board-certified Psychiatrists, award-winning Psychiatric PAs, and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners — with additional support provided by our Medical Assistants.

  • Provides psychiatric evaluations to diagnose all forms of mental illness.

  • Develops treatment plans that may include medication management and psychotherapy.

  • Assists with referrals and coordination with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

PSYCHOLOGY

Our Psychology Team features highly experienced Psychologists who provide evidence-based assessment of mental health concerns through interviews and psychometric testing.

  • Identifies, conceptualizes, and clarifies diagnoses.

  • Recommends treatment plans.

  • Provides psychotherapy for individuals and families.

  • Collaborates with schools in relevant areas.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Our Psychotherapy Team is comprised of expert Psychotherapists, bringing decades of training and experience to each visit. Our Psychotherapists are here to support you as you make positive changes in your life.

PAWSITIVE SUPPORT

Our Pawsitive Support Team is a team of one — featuring Mercy! As our certified professional facility dog, Mercy:

  • Provides comfort, safety, and some laughs during sessions.

  • Assists with grounding and other emotional regulation tools during therapy.

  • Offers friendly greetings.
