Teresa (Tess) Judge-Ellis,

Tess is dually Board Certified as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been in nursing for over 20 years and in advanced practice nursing for 15. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Saint Louis University, a Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Pacific Lutheran University and she completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and did her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner education at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

As a nurse practitioner (ARNP), Dr. Judge-Ellis is independently licensed and able to evaluate and treat a wide range of mental health disorders with individuals and families throughout the lifespan including: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders (Bipolar, Depression), Behavioral Disorders, Trauma, and Psychotic Disorders. Nurse Practitioners have full scope prescriptive authority and also provide counseling. Dr. Judge-Ellis is on the faculty at the University of Iowa College of Nursing where she teaches in the graduate nurse practitioner program and she maintains a small rural family/psychiatric practice. She speaks locally and nationally to nurse practitioners on mental health issues.
