Nicole is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). She began her bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of Northern Iowa, going on to complete her BA, then her Master’s degree in social work, both at the University of Iowa.
Nicole views therapy as a shared experience built on the grounds of trust, open communication, and a nonjudgemental atmosphere. She places the upmost value on genuine human connection in the therapy room, appreciating the fact that humans are all wonderfully complex, unique, and innately whole.
Nicole particularly enjoys working with adjustment disorders and with teens/young adults. Drawing on modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy, Nicole enjoys working with clients who are experiencing emotional intensity and those who are navigating how they cope in the face of life’s many challenges and changes.
