Robert Cherry, MPAS, PA-C

Robert is a psychiatric Physician Assistant who began practicing at Meadowlark in 2020. Robert received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of Connecticut in 2014. He went on to work as an Emergency Medical Technician in some of Boston, Massachusetts’s most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods for three years prior to attending Physician Assistant School at The University of Dubuque. While in Physician Assistant School, Robert confirmed his love for psychiatry after interning both at Meadowlark and at Mercy Medical Center’s inpatient psychiatric unit.

Robert has experience treating a wide range of mental health conditions. His most passionate interests include addiction medicine, helping pediatric and adolescent patients with anxiety and depression, and veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He also enjoys working with patients affected by Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Attention Deficit Disorder.

Robert is an advocate for pharmacological treatments as well as non-pharmacological interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, nutrition, exercise, and meditation.
