Sara is a licensed psychologist and certified health service provider with a PhD in Psychological and Quantitative Foundations from the University of Iowa. She completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics with a focus on inpatient mental health care for individuals with neurodevelopmental and related disabilities.

Dr. Wise conducts psychological evaluations for questions about intellectual disability, learning disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior, depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. She provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with concerns related to depression, anxiety, trauma, social functioning or relationships, and self-harm or suicidal ideation. She also provides evidence-based interventions for families who have concerns about their child’s disruptive behavior (IoWa-PCIT), anxiety (SPACE), and PTSD or trauma-related symptoms (TF-CBT). Dr. Wise is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics where she continues to teach and mentor graduate students, medical students, and psychiatry residents and fellows.
